Med Spa Marketing HQ is an independent site for owners of aesthetic practices who are tired of signing six-month agreements before anyone has produced a booked treatment.
Who writes it
Steve Meitler is the editor. He has spent years running marketing for local service businesses, med spas among them, and has watched enough ad accounts get flagged over a photo of a jawline to know where the real problems in this niche sit. Everything here is written so an owner can check it against their own numbers.
Where the benchmark numbers come from
The benchmark report is built from public Google Business Profile listings. We run Google Maps searches for med spas and aesthetic clinics in every US state, collect only the public fields on each listing (review count, star rating, website link, hours, primary category, location), deduplicate by Google place ID, and compute the statistics. Nothing is taken from behind a login. No patient information, no reviewer names and no personal data is stored or published. The dataset currently holds 53,312 listings across 51 states and is refreshed monthly.
Category boundaries in this niche are messy. Google lets a clinic pick Medical spa, Skin care clinic, Day spa or Beauty salon, so the dataset includes some businesses closer to a traditional spa than a medical practice. Treat every figure as accurate to within a point or two, not to the decimal.
Editorial rules
- No pay-to-play. No device manufacturer, software vendor, distributor or agency can buy a mention, a recommendation, or a place in a guide.
- Every number traces to either our dataset or a primary source such as Google's own advertising policy pages. Opinions are labeled as opinions.
- Nothing here is medical, legal or compliance advice. Where a guide touches HIPAA, state medical board rules or scope of practice, it tells you to confirm with your own counsel and your medical director, because those rules vary by state and change.
- Guides are written for an owner who is also seeing patients. If a step cannot be done by a busy owner or handed to a front desk lead, it does not go in.
- Guides get updated when the platforms change their rules, and the date is on the page.
How the free trial works
The site is funded by the marketing work we do for med spas. Every service is offered as a free 14-day trial because an owner in this industry has usually been burned once already and should see the calendar move before paying anyone. You text or call, tell us what you want to try, and we build it in your own accounts, usually within 48 hours. It runs 14 days. There is no card on file and nothing renews. At the end you keep it at the price quoted before it started, switch to a different service, or stop.
Text or call (385) 832-6175, or use the free trial page. Common questions are answered on the FAQ.
